Title: Logistic & Warehouse Manager
Reports to: Administration & Finance Manager
Purpose of Position
The Logistic & Warehouse Manager is responsible for developing and managing the system that gets products from the supplier/warehouse to the consumer/entrepreneurs. S/he coordinates the logistical functions of an organization’s supply chain. In other words, s/he is responsible for developing and managing the system that gets products from the supplier or manufacturer to the consumer.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, to take advantage of sales opportunities or, in the case of shortages, to minimize negative impacts on a business;
- Develop an understanding of customers’ needs, and take actions to ensure that such needs are met;
- Explain proposed solutions to customers, management, or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations;
- Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer’s key personnel involved in or directly relevant to a logistics activity.
- Manage subcontractor activities, reviewing proposals, developing performance specifications, and serving as liaisons between subcontractors and organizations;
- Protect and control proprietary materials.
- Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks and service agreements;
- Support the development of training materials and technical manuals;
- Develop and implement technical project management tools such as plans, schedules, and responsibility and compliance matrices.
Qualifications & Profile
The Assistant Director in charge of Operations shall:
- have a degree in business administration or social sciences or extensive experience in the field (min 3 years);
- be able to assume the responsibilities assigned to him/her;
- have team spirit;
- have the ability to communicate;
- be available, honest, serious, and enjoys the confidence of others
- manage human and financial material resources;
- report to the HE SI Admin & Finance Manager
- Must demonstrate considerable autonomy;
- Must be flexible and adaptable;
- Must be creative and cunning;
- Must be an experienced manager;
- Able to manage human, financial and material resources;
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands;
- Proven ability in making sound business decisions (focus on the decision-making process);
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and evening or weekend shifts.
